Hi, it's been quite some time since I last posted something. Not sure what to write. Hmm.. maybe about school? Well school is quite interesting at the moment. Meeting lots of people, having a great time studying. However, the work still sucks. Heavy workload man, esp. those in ECE. Well, at least the content's great.
Basically my life revolves around school and work. Kinda interesting because you never know what to expect each day. After close to 3 years in uni, I guess I begin to realise what they mean by the development of a person. The education here has forced me to think more about myself, to be clearer about what I want, and at the same time allowing me to develop the necessary skills needed to brave the so-called new world. Actually most of us have this chance too. It's just whether we want to open our eyes to them.
Haha, enough of philosophy. Anyway, maybe I can talk about the Last King of Scotland. A show which I caught on the bus while on my way back to Malaysia for CNY. Pirates are quick huh.. Well, for those who follow closely on world affairs, it revolves around this Ugandan dictator, General Idi Amin. A typical African dictator that all the suppressed African writers often write about. This story portrays him, as seen by his personal physician. Note that this personal physician did not exist in real life. Was based on a book written by someone who claimed that he or she interviewed someone that was close to the dictator. This show portrays Idi Amin to be someone that seemed good in the physician's eyes. Soon, we begin to see Idi Amin become more crazy and do many killings, etc. Forrest Whitaker was apparently so convincing and good that he won the Oscars for best performance by an actor for his role as the dictator.
Ok, guess that's all for now. Not sure when I will update this blog again. Have a good time ahead. Cheers.
